  a bit about me :

As a New Yorker, Bostonian, and Korean native, Jenny Byun has always been fascinated by new cultures and experiences. Byun moved alone to the United States where she began her creative journey at 15 years old. While attending Jericho High School in New York, she used weekends as an opportunity to explore New York City. During her college years, she extended her passion for trying new things in the city of Boston while attending Boston University from 2014 to 2018.

 

Her many visits to various pastry shops around the world fueled her passion for dessert and café culture. Moreover, her journey to other countries inspired and developed the idea for her own business. In 2016, Byun and her family opened the Dessert Lab Chou Chou in Incheon, Korea. The combination of New York City’s urban style with the natural beauty of other countries she has visited created the basis for her café’s peaceful and relaxing concept.

 

Byun not only directed the creative and business development of her café, but also managed the advertising and public relations aspects based on her education and experience at Boston University. Byun studied at Boston University College of Communication and interned at Elizabeth Arden in London to further build and expand her abilities. At Elizabeth Arden, Byun worked as a Marketing Intern, understanding the inner workings of the marketing world and building connections with her fellow coworkers.  She constantly strives to alleviate her creative itch through her education and experience.
